Recensione Viator: Small-Group Tour: Amalfi Coast and Pompeii Day Trip from Rome.
We were picked up at our hotel OUTSIDE of the city center at 6:50 am and arrived at Pomeii just before 10am. Our tour guide Anita was very knowledgeable, accommodating souvenir spots, and very friendly! We purchased some braclets made from Vesuvious eruption lava, and a few lava bombs to take home.
Our group of 6 traveled well together. The driver was EXCELLENT navigating the 1,001 curves in the 43 mile stretch of the Amalfi Coast smoothly; but this is NOT for anyone who is easily car sick. We toured Pompeii for 2.5 hours by Romelo our guide there, and had a beautiful clear and warm October morning to travel! ???? He took us to numerous homes and bakeries, the Brothel/shoreside resort, the 4 plaster cast of bodies who perished, pottery, numerous roads and loads of cool information along the way! Anita advised the best places to get pizza, and were offered a sit-down meal reservation, but we all declined to keep things moving. LOTS of history and MANY photo opportunities along the way! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE FOLKS! It is a long day, but you DO get your money's worth.
